One of the most common period questions is, “Am I bleeding too much?” Probably not, but here are a few things to look out for. Is your period:
Longer than 7 days?
So heavy it requires you to change your pad/tampon every two hours or less?
Accompanied by gushing or clots?
If you’re experiencing some or all of these, you may have heavy bleeding. As always, contact your doctor for help, especially if you’re bleeding
through tampons like Tampax Pearl Super Plus within 1-2
Heavy bleeding may cause you to lose iron and make you anemic (weak and tired). If you’re concerned about your flow, keep a diary of your periods,
including the number of pad/tampon changes and occurrences of gushes. This will help your doctor.
