PRE-PERIOD
Uh-oh, PMS. Headaches, bloating, irritability and tearfulness all make their presence felt. Lucky for you if you're one of the few who don't seem to suffer at all! Wear a pantiliner or light flow tampon on these days just in case your period makes an early appearance.
HEAVIEST FLOW
Ok, here we go. This is when your period and your cycle starts. Bleeding begins as your womb lining is shed. Emotionally, you'll start feeling more chilled than you have for days as your hormone levels drop. The good news? No more PMS for 28 days.
POST-PERIOD
If your bleeding hasn’t stopped it should have at least lightened up. Periods can last from three to eight days, but five or six is average. Carry tampons or pantiliners with you just in case.
PEAK OVULATION
Been having slight cramps in the lower abdomen? That lets you know that you're body was preparing to release an egg right about now. You're ovulating, so you're very fertile. But remember: you need to use contraception all month long if you're having sex.
