They are tampon absorbency levels that describe how much menstrual flow a tampon is designed to absorb.
Bigger absorbency tampons are for heavier flow.
Smaller absorbency tampons are for lighter flow.
Since your period can change from day to day, the absorbency you need may change too!
Absorbency does not describe your body size, vagina size, or experience level.
Tampon size has nothing to do with vagina size…
It's all about flow and absorbency!
If you leak in just a few hours, go up!
If removal feels dry or uncomfortable, go down!
Absorbency tells you how much menstrual flow a tampon is designed to absorb.
Tampax offers different absorbencies for different period flow needs, including Light, Regular, Super, Super Plus, and Ultra.
Choosing the right absorbency helps your tampon feel comfortable and helps protect against leaks!
Start with the lowest absorbency you think will meet your flow...
If you remove a tampon after several hours and it still has a lot of white showing-or if it feels dry or uncomfortable to remove-try going down a size next time.
If you fill a tampon in less than 4 hours or leak in just a few hours, try going up a size.
A tampon that's too absorbent for your flow may feel dry or uncomfortable, especially when you remove it.
A tampon that isn't absorbent enough may leak before it's time to change.
Finding the right fit is not about your body.
It's about matching absorbency to your flow!
Always use the lowest absorbency needed for your flow.
Studies indicate higher absorbency tampons increase the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome, so using the minimum absorbency needed can help reduce risk.
Does tampon size mean vagina size? No! Tampon size has nothing to do with vagina size; it's about flow and absorbency.
Which tampon absorbency should I start with? Start with the lowest absorbency that meets your flow.
When should I go up a tampon size? If you fill or leak through a tampon in less than 4 hours, try going up an absorbency.
Think of absorbency as your flow fit!
Tampax offers options designed for different period flow needs so you can choose the protection that feels right for that day!
